Various electricity savers are sold on the Internet. In fact, economists only lead to additional costs. But there are proven ways to reduce street lighting costs.

How to save on street lighting?

There are at least three ways to reduce street lighting costs:

1. Install motion sensors. To save on street lighting installed in the right places motion sensors help. For example, in the parking lot, it is not necessary to leave the light on all night. The motion sensor is activated and turns on the light only when moving objects appear. The lamps turn off after 1-2 minutes, depending on the settings.

2. Install the photo relay. A photo relay reacts to a change in street lighting. When the lighting decreases, the device turns on the lights. And vice versa - when it becomes lighter, the photo relay turns off the light. For maximum savings, experts recommend using a photo relay together with motion sensors.

3. Use energy-efficient light sources. The most economical are LED lamps. But saving through the use of LEDs will work only with lighting products from a reliable manufacturer, and not a little-known or Chinese unverified brand.

● Give accurate color reproduction - LED lighting makes it easy to recognize objects. At night, this increases safety on roads and streets.

● Make higher light output - ICES work better than their counterparts at lower temperatures. It is beneficial in the winter months.

● Resistant to weather conditions - LED backlight is dustproof and waterproof. The lamps operate at temperatures from -40 to +40.

What are the benefits of energy-saving street lamps?

The main advantage that LED lights to give is money saving. The LED lighting is more energy-efficient than traditional sources of street lighting: sodium, halogen lamps, and others.

LED-lamps are considered to be devices with the highest level of energy efficiency. The energy-efficient lighting gives a bright luminous flux and consumes a minimum of electricity. The service life of such lamps is higher than usual. The life of LED devices is longer than conventional devices.

An outdoor LED device with a capacity of 901 milliwatts generates light of the same brightness (or higher) as ordinary. In this case, the lamp consumes only half the power. In the process of application, the output power is reduced by only 30%.

Conventional discharge lamps dramatically increase energy consumption at the time of switching on - this increases costs at the end of the month. Outdoor LED lights minimize peak loads on the electrical network at the time of startup.

Installing the right lights on the street provides comfortable and economical lighting. There are several types of LED street lights:

● Spotlight. The most powerful lighting fixture. They are used as illumination of advertising media, building facades, the lighting of large objects and territories: stadiums during the game, city squares, transport stations.

● Recessed lights. They are installed in the flooring of terraces, arbors, garden paths - and even directly into the ground to illuminate trees and fountains.

● Pendant lights. Mounted on the ceiling of the porch and buildings to illuminate the doors, attics, terraces.

● Cantilever lights. Attached to poles, like ordinary streetlights. Cantilever lights softly illuminate the territory of small sizes: the house area, garden, parking.

The cost of LED street lights

The price of LED lighting depends on 4 factors:

1. The power of the LED lamp. The higher the power, the higher the price. An LED lamp for 18 W and 1440 Lm costs 186 UAH, while for 36 W and 2880 Lm - 254 UAH.

2 The pricing policy of the seller. ICE is beneficial to buy directly from the manufacturer, without an extra charge from the intermediary.

3. Country of manufacture. Domestic fixtures are lower than similar products from Europe. For example, a German street light MW Light is within 500 UAH. The Ukrainian analog costs about 300 UAH in the Eurolight. Even cheaper will be a similar lamp from a Chinese manufacturer. At the same time, the quality of the goods may be doubtful: Chinese manufacturers save on components, do not carry out the necessary certification and save on housing materials. As a result, the device jams or quickly fails.

4. The design. Spotlights have a simple design, so they cost less than console LEDs. If a 50 W floodlight will cost from 224 to 412 UAH, then a console lamp of the same power will cost 799 UAH.
